But how do we go about implementing automation in a way that helps support teams and delivers value? It may be tempting to dive straight into building some tools, but first, we should reflect on what automation is within the context of software development, and the role it plays. Knowing the value and limitations of automation can help us build an automation approach that works for everyone. That’s why in this course we’ll:
- Look at existing definitions of automation, reflect on them and develop our own
- Investigate the skills and knowledge required to succeed in automation
- Introduce the Automation in Testing mindset and approach to automation
