Are you thinking about "thinking"?

Hello,

Hope you've had a great February!  It's that time of the year, reviews are happening and we're all considering what work we've done and what our career path looks like.  Heather has shared this talk from Gabbi - it's open to everyone.

"I loved this talk from Gabbi! It gives lots of easy to action things to give you your own personal brand. Super helpful for job hunting, building a brand for your blog or simply building an excellent network to learn from. There really is something for everyone in this talk." - Heather CommunityBoss

What's New With Ministry of Testing?

We've some new webinar recordings and a new podcast!

🎧  What are the capabilities of TestProject when it comes to mobile automation? In our latest podcast, Adam chats to Eldar Kravetsky and Marat Strelets from the free automation platform - TestProject, they dig into its capabilities and the AI functionality it offers 🤖

🧠  The main thing we do as testers is critical thinking.  Trying to keep your thinking sharp, ideas fresh and improve your critical thinking skills can be a hard task.  We have two events this month that will help you, a Testing Ask Me Anything with Fiona Charles and a 👥 Panel Discussion with Elizabeth Zagroba, Jitesh Gosai and Maaike Brinkhof.   Both are great opportunities to learn from knowledgeable and experienced testers and ask any questions you might have.

✍️  Getting active in online testing communities can be a bit overwhelming. Where do you start?  We know we're entirely biased, but there are other places out there where you can get help with your problems.  Jonas Menesklou wrote an article for us, sharing a few groups he's been involved with.

Is your team expanding and training is needed to make sure testing standards are kept high? Or are you new to testing?  We've just launched our 3-day Essentials Training with Dan Ashby and Vernon Richards starting the 12th of April.  It will provide perspectives on what testing is, how to do testing, and how to define and measure quality.  Plus a whole lot more.  🚀

Alex Burlton recently took a deep dive into flakey UI Automation tests in a Masterclass.  Watch as he goes through possible root causes and demonstrated how you can use observability to help reduce flakiness.

See our latest news and Dojo additions, catch up on anything you might have missed in the last few weeks.
