In Automation in Testing, we believe that the road to success with automation begins with the testing context we're working in. If we have a strong testing culture then our chances of creating a successful automation strategy are increased. So before we can begin to create or improve our automation efforts, we need a strong understanding of what is working and what isn't working in our testing. But how do we do that? Enter testability. With testability, we have a way to not only quickly understand our testing context, but a means to improve it. For example, understanding the testability of our team's culture may highlight misunderstandings around testing and automation, which we could improve to increase our teams adoption of good testing/automation practices.

To achieve this goal though, we need an understanding of what testability is, how to analyse the testability of our context and how to identify improvements. This is what we'll cover in this workshop. By the end of the workshop, you'll have a deep appreciation of how our testing context and strategy impacts our automation strategy as well as how to improve your testability to make automation that bit easier.
