Description:
1 in 4 people experience a mental health problem every year. In England, 1 in 6 people report experiencing a common mental health problem (such as anxiety and depression) in any given week*
We spend most of our waking hours with work colleagues, and the stats suggest at some point, you or a member of your team will go through a mental health problem. I've been on both sides of the statistics having lived with depression for most of my life and have worked with and helped colleagues with anxiety, depression.
I want to share what I've learned along the way and what we can do to look after ourselves and our team. Through my story I'll explore the signs to look out for, when is it appropriate to get involved, how I tell if someone is just down or if someone needs help and how the right support can lead to dramatic, positive developments
