A talented and self-motivated Test Automation Engineer, ideally with 1-2+ years’ experience is required by an ambitious, high-growth start up based from Home/Lichfield. This is a great opportunity to join this growing but passionate team of developers as the first full time test resource in the company. You’ll have the opportunity to work with the latest technologies, build out a largely greenfield test capability and team, and gain valuable testing experience across a range of innovation and digital transformation initiatives for a portfolio of high-profile Critical National Infrastructure clients in the UK.

Candidates MUST be UK based (Please see details of remote working requirements below).

Key Skills Required:

·        1-2+ years’ of first-hand experience as a tester in an agile environment

·        Passion for quality assurance and attention to detail

·        Experience testing web (cross browser) and mobile apps 

·        Creation & Maintenance of Automation Frameworks such as Selenium UI 

·        Testing APIs and back-end services with the use of Postman

·        Demonstrable experience of working with database (SQL and Non SQL)

·        Creating, reviewing, and implementing detailed test plans 

·        Performing manual / exploratory testing 

Nice to Have:

·        Experience with Load testing

·        Agile development methodologies

·        Exposure to Azure DevOps for CI/CD

·        Experience with Cucumber or ReadyAPI

·        Unit testing experience (TDD/BDD)

Roles and responsibilities:

·        Identify and drive resolution of defects or issues preventing delivery of Test Engineering activities

·        Design, build and maintain an effective test infrastructure and capability.

·        Delivery of test automation in an Agile Team with an understanding of Agile delivery principles

*Typically there is a requirement to get together nominally 1 day/week (Wednesday) in Lichfield, Staffs to collaborate on projects and support client visits as required, so the ability to travel within the UK and have a clean/valid UK driving license is essential.
