The North remembers what an absolute belter TestBash Manchester 2018 was, so we are coming back, Manchester! For a fourth time! And, we can’t flipping wait!
It going to be a spectacular action-packed week-long extravaganza at The Lowry, filled with opportunities to learn, network, have fun, and of course, space to reflect on all that’s going on. Here’s the itinerary for the week:
Automation In Testing (Monday 30th September - Wednesday 2nd October) - a fantastic three-day training course taught by Richard Bradshaw and Mark Winteringham. You’ll learn all about the current state of automation, how to design and implement reliable, targeted automated checks, and create new automation tools to test products at your company.
TestBash Workshops (Wednesday 2nd October) are a series of ½ day workshops, some of which focus on technical testing and some on the softer skills a tester needs. A workshop ticket gives you the chance to choose two workshops that appeal to you on a first come, first served basis.
TestBash (Thursday 3rd October) is our original software testing conference. It’s a single track event, meaning every talk is a keynote and all attendees have lots to talk about during the breaks and socials. Expect a balance of talks that cover the important aspects of testing, quality and working in software development. It’s fun-filled, jam-packed day!
Test.bash(); (Friday 4th October) is our technical testing and automation focussed conference. It’s a single track event, with fun and unique elements sprinkled throughout. Expect talks that include code, live demos and in-depth talks on the technical aspects of testing.
Open Space (Saturday 5th October) is the favourite part of TestBash for many regulars; it’s the time when you can reflect on all that you’ve learnt, exchange ideas and information, and collaborate with peers. You design the programme, you go to the sessions that interest you and participate as little or as much as you want; it’s a totally bespoke conference just for you!
Got something to share? Well, come and speak at TestBash or Test.bash(); we’re looking for 30-45 minute talks. It doesn’t matter if you’re a well-seasoned speaker or brand new to it, you can go ahead and submit your talks right now! The deadline for submissions is 28th February 2019. Don’t delay submit your talks today!
If selected, Ministry of Testing will cover all your travel and accommodation expenses. All our speakers also get to attend the workshop day, TestBash, Test.bash(); and the Open Space… we’re pretty lovely like that. You can find all the details of our promise to support all speakers in our speaker policy.
Are you rather fabulous at designing workshops and helping folks actively learn through activities? In that case, we’d love for you to submit a workshop abstract; we’re looking for ½ day workshops. Why not submit your workshop abstract right now in our CCFP! Even if you’ve “only” ran a workshop at a local meetup or in your workplace, doesn’t matter; be brave and submit it. You’ve got until 28th February 2019 to be in contention for TestBash Manchester.
We also support our workshop instructors, you too will get your travel and accommodation covered, tickets to TestBash, Test.bash(); and the Open Space, plus £500 for running your workshop. You can find all the details of our promise to support all workshop instructors in our speaker policy.
Not interested in talking or instructing? Very interested in learning and making tester friends? Well, you can be the first to find out when TestBash Manchester tickets go on sale by joining the TestBash event launch list and/or the Test.bash(); launch list.
Can’t make the event? Not to worry, you can still support Ministry of Testing by sharing news about our events and all that we do on Twitter, LinkedIn, Facebook and Instagram. We’d really appreciate it!
Amazingly, you don’t have to miss out on all the learnings either! All the TestBash talks from TestBash Manchester, plus all our other TestBashes, will be available on the Dojo with Pro MoT Membership. Check it out and get access to all the things!
Are you looking to increase your testing/quality team? Are you looking to promote your testing service or tools? Or do you really want to support the northern testing community? All these things are possible by sponsoring TestBash Manchester. If you want to be the first to hear about this year's options, please send an email to firstname.lastname@example.org.
We hope you can be a part of TestBash Manchester… it’s going to be ace!
