I am remarkable: Workshop on celebrating success and self-promotion
18:00 - 21:00 GMT
Location: Hippo Digital Ltd Aireside House, 24-26 Aire St, Leeds LS1 4HT · Leeds

Happy New Year, and MoT Leeds is kicking 2026 off with a brilliant workshop. No matter your role, you will want to attend and learn how to celebrate your achievements and improve your self-promotion. If you are anything like me (Ady), I've always struggled with self-promotion. It feels like bragging. But that's what this session is for, to help us get better at it.

Agenda:

  • Welcome and Ministry of Testing update
  • Workshop
  • Free raffle

Workshop details:

The workshop is hosted by Victoria Chan, so over to her to tell you all about it.

Hi everyone 👋, it's Victoria here

Hope you’re well — and a very happy New Year to you all.

"Ever found it easier to talk about what went wrong than what went well?"

I spent 15 years working in financial services, where I saw many capable people struggle to talk about their achievements, even when their impact was VERY clear. As former Chair of the REACH People Network, I became deeply passionate about breaking glass ceilings and increasing visibility for overlooked voices and talent.

That experience is why I began facilitating #IAmRemarkable workshops: to create practical, supportive spaces where we can reflect, share, and build confidence in self-promoting our achievements in ways that feel authentic.

We are excited to invite you to attend the #IAmRemarkable workshop. We are a global movement that empowers everyone, including underrepresented groups, to celebrate their achievements in the workplace and beyond, while challenging the social perception around self-promotion. Learn more at iamremarkable.org

In this interactive session, you will participate in group discussions and exercises to increase your comfort and
confidence in self-promotion.

During this 90-minute workshop, we will:

  • reflect on our own limiting beliefs on self-promotion.
  • share data and research regarding self-promotion and bias.
  • go through the main exercise to help you identify and share your achievements.
  • wrap up with discussion and take-home exercises.

Psychological safety & inclusion

This workshop is interactive, but you will never be put on the spot. You’re encouraged to participate and engage in ways that feel comfortable for you. The session is designed to be inclusive, respectful, and supportive.

The Ministry of Testing Code of Conduct is also in effect.

Spaces are limited, so please don’t delay registering. We’d love to see you there.

Victoria, Ady and the team.
