Hello, my name is Simon Rigler

In this moment: Simon Rigler
I’m coming from: Worthing

My role is: Complicated?!

As much as possible I try to do: hands on automated test development, exploratory testing of any kind, and supporting the surrounding infrastructure and teams; I love coaching too.

My current role also involves test leadership and operational responsibilities, though I hope in time I can erase this part, plans are afoot …

I’d love to meet others who are into:

** Coaching (especially of technical coding-in-testing aspects),
** ‘technical testing’ roles (not sure what else to call it) with test lead responsibilities
** I love speaking with anyone who values good testing of any kind, not simply ‘test automation’

I'm coming to TestBash 2025 as an Attendee, a big fan of MoT and the Test Bash event especially.

I’ve been to TestBash: Perhaps 9 times? First was 2015, I haven’t missed many.

QA Leader + Coach + Engineer

Bitten by the Testing bug 🐞via a 'fell into it' secondment in 2004. I’ve since had a variety of roles and been in ‘Quality’ leadership positions since 2012. Being hands-on is in my DNA, I don’t wish to lead any other way. In recent years I’ve learned test automation development skills alongside the management role and I enjoy coaching interested people embarking on this technical testing journey 💜
