Quality in motion

Oct 13, 2025

Create Memory
A long exposure, motion-blurred image of a large auditorium from the back. On the stage, a large bright screen is centred between two banners with a purple design and the letters 'MOT' visible. A few people are walking down the central aisle toward the stage, and the motion blur emphasises their movement.
In this memory: Joep Schuurkes

02/10/25, Brighton.

There's a fair bit of running around when you're part of a conference event team. Curious to hear Joep's talk whilst also moving on to my next task I remember grabbing this one on the go. I think I also had in mind it would be funny to take a photo of the MoTographer (the professional photographer).

Ironic how this is such a terrible photo. Quality in motion? I'm not so sure. Yet perhaps it captures the sense of how your brain feels after consuming much information at MoTaCon. While intense at the time, it's all so very much worth it.
