From Flutter Development to Software Quality Assurance
20 Aug 2025
When I first stepped into the world of software, I chose Flutter. The idea of building beautiful apps for web and mobile with a single codebase fascinated me. I spent months learning Dart, tinkering with UI layouts, managing state, and even integrating Firebase. Each little app I built gave me a sense of accomplishment like I was shaping something people could actually use.
But over time, I realized something important: I enjoyed breaking things more than building them. Whenever my app crashed, or a layout didn’t render properly, I found myself more curious about why it failed than how to fix it. Debugging, testing scenarios, and checking edge cases felt more exciting than adding a new feature.
That curiosity slowly pulled me towards Software Quality Assurance (SQA) and I started learning about it. Then I discovered the Ministry of Testing and it felt like I had found my tribe.
Here, I wasn’t just “leaving Flutter”, I was transitioning into a role where my curiosity truly belonged. Now, instead of building apps, I am learning to test them with purpose, ensuring that what reaches users is reliable and valuable. The move wasn’t easy, but it was the right one.
This is the start of my journey in SQA and I’m excited to grow, learn, and share my path with this amazing community.
