This Week in Quality - We'll help you find your voice

30 Oct 2026

I love TWiQ. Whether I'm listening or joining the stage, it gives me a lift being in this supportive community. I have found friends here, friends who understand and are experiencing the same emotions and challenges that I am.

This Week in Quality was the first time I put myself in front of professionals outside my workplace . I came and listened a couple of weeks in 2025 and the chats were touching on subjects that I had experienced. I had an urge to help, but I was obviously hesitant to join the stage. There were experienced community legends on the stage, people I had admired but never met or communicated with. Why would I make a difference to them? Would I sound stupid? Has someone said what I've said before? The doubts were very real.

Then one day, a subject matter reached the conversation that I was experiencing that very day. There was 5 minutes left of the podcast. My mouse was hovering over the "Join Stage" button and I clicked. I joined the stage and raced through my points in a panic. Everyone on stage was listening, I could see chat comments starting to riff in the thread and I'd been a part of moving the conversation. I couldn't believe the support I felt and felt an instant kinship with everyone on the stage and in the chat. We were all in this together. It is that feeling, that has moved my contributions and friendships to another level.

So from my experience, I extend an invitation to you. If you have imagined yourself speaking to people in your profession about your successes, your challenges, the lessons you've learned, the help you need etc. but felt nervous or intimidated by the names on stage, come along. Everyone on that stage had a first time and we've witnessed a lot of our first times together. If you find your mouse pointer hovering over that "Join Stage" button, click it. Your experience and views are so important to the community as they are REAL and we want you to be heard. We'll help you speak up and find your own style. ๐Ÿ™
