TestBash Netherlands 2020 is Postponed to October 2020

Our events team have been knocked down but they have got right back up again! We have been working hard to make sure we don’t have to cancel another event. The good news is, the TestBash Netherlands team have managed to secure the same venues for a later date in 2020.

Why?

There are differing views of the dangers of COVID-19 but the impact it’s having cannot be ignored. We’ve had to cancel two TestBashes already last week and we didn’t want TestBash Netherlands to follow in their footsteps.

We’ve been speaking to the venues over the past few days to explore the possibility of postponing the conference to a later date when we’re more confident that the virus peak will be over. The good news is that we have managed to secure both venues in Utrecht for 12th-16th October 2020. The training will take place from 12th-14th October, the workshops will take place on 15th October 2020 and TestBash will take place on 16th October 2020.

Next Steps

If you were registered to attend TestBash Netherlands or any of the training planned before the conference, you should have received an email from the Netherlands team containing all you need to know. However, for your convenience, we’ve included it all below.

Questions You Might Have

What do I need to do with my ticket to gain entry to the new dates?
Any tickets you had booked will be valid for the new dates. You don’t need to do anything to transfer them, we’ll do this for you.

I can’t attend the new dates, what can I do?
You can transfer your ticket to a colleague who would be able to attend on the new dates free of charge. Alternatively, you can request a refund. A 15% admin fee applies to all refunds processed until 14th April 2020, after this time we will not be processing refunds on existing orders.

I’ve already booked travel/hotel. What can I do?
Please check your terms with your travel provider and hotel, many are giving extra courtesy at this difficult time and waiving any rebooking fees.

Will the conference/training be in the same location?
Yes, we have managed to secure the same venues for the training, workshops and conference.

What happens to the program?
The schedule timings will remain the same. Keep an eye on The Club for any changes to the order of speakers or in the event that a speaker is no longer to attend the new dates.

Why cancel Brighton and Detroit but postpone the Netherlands?
Postponement to a time outside of the virus peak was not possible for Detroit and Brighton. We’ve been very fortunate that both venues for TestBash Netherlands have availability at a date that we are confident, based on what we know so far, will be outside the virus peaks.
