In this talk, Tom Game, also known as The Testing Game, shares the top four ways to get involved with the Ministry of Testing community. He emphasises the importance of starting by engaging with online platforms, particularly The Club, MoT Slack, LinkedIn, and Bluesky, where testers can connect, share ideas and receive advice from experienced members. Attending online events, such as "This Week in Testing" and The Testing Planet episodes, offers opportunities to learn from thought leaders and engage with the community in real-time.
The talk also highlights the value of attending in-person events, including regional meetups and the annual TestBash conference, which provide hands-on workshops, talks and networking opportunities. Finally, Tom encourages listeners to contribute to the community, whether by resharing posts, creating content like 99-second talks, or becoming a speaker at TestBash.
