This is What a Tester Looks Like - Charlene Granadosin and Charlotte Bersamin
Testers often come with the stigma of just being “testers”. We are often pressured to stay in our lane and our comfort zone. In this session, we will be focusing on different biases that present themselves when it comes to being “just a tester”. From personal biases to the halo effect, we will bring into light these types of biases, how to recognize them and ways to overcome them. Especially coming from a non-technical background, we will share this from our own personal experiences as well as from fellow testers whom we have encountered throughout our career in software development.
Takeaways:
- How to overcome Bias in Testing
- How to convince people to think like a tester
- Help others realize that we are an integral part of the development process
- Acknowledge and be aware of the Halo Effect
- Psychology in Testing is a real thing
