Job Description

WorkForce Software are excited to share a rare opportunity to break into the software industry without industry experience or specific professional qualifications.

We are looking for a motivated individual looking to break into software testing as part of an Agile development team. This role will involve testing of our scheduling application, including involvement in planning and design activities supporting development of new features to deliver value to our customers. As a Graduate/Junior Software Tester, our highly experienced team of software testers will support your understanding of how, what and when to test, and grow your confidence and expertise in the testing field.  In return, we will look for your passion to learn, proactive attitude to problem solving and confidence to stand up for the high standards of quality we expect for our software.

About You

On your first day, we’ll expect you to have:

  • Demonstrable interest in software development and a specific desire to become a software tester
  • Extensive, demonstrable experience of using a wide variety of software
  • Excellent communication skills and a desire to work in close collaboration with others
  • A keen eye for detail combined with a strong work ethic
  • Curiosity to find out how things work and how they can be improved
  • A hunger to learn new skills, techniques and uncover fresh perspectives
  • A desire to be a part of a world class team who strive towards a shared goal
  • The confidence to ask questions and represent your own views
  • A desire to challenge yourself
  • Eligibility to work in the UK

Bonus Points if you have:

  • Experience of working in a related field e.g. IT Helpdesk, Software Sales, Mechanical Testing
  • A qualification in a related field e.g. ISTQB Foundation, Computer Science degree
  • Demonstrable passion for working on teams and in collaboration with others e.g. volunteer groups
