Cosmic Conversation: How to get confidence in public speaking

At TestBash Brighton 2024, Rahul Parwal gave a talk titled ‘Productizing Yourself: Building Portfolio as a Tester’ and Karen Todd, together with Vernon Richards gave a workshop titled ‘Your Name Here: Starting Your Public Speaking Journey’.

Both of their sessions made a huge impact on some attendees, who ended up going up on the stage at the end of Day 2 and giving their first 99-second talk.

During this session, Karen and Rahul focus on strategies for improving public speaking confidence. It includes practical tips and techniques to overcome nerves, structure speeches effectively and engage with audiences confidently. They both revert back to their own experiences and share actionable advice to help everyone feel more comfortable and prepared when speaking in front of an audience.
