Designing self‑explaining test automation for fast root‑cause diagnosis

Automation often arrives in CI as a gatekeeper: a red pipeline and a message for QA to explain.

Alexander Chumakin will share a set of practices we validated on a large and fast-growing product team to make automation a developer ally.

He’ll show how we rewired ownership, added self‑diagnosing tests, and built evidence packs (logs, traces, screenshots, Allure‑style reports) delivered through GitHub Actions.

We also layer in light, machine‑assisted analysis (including LLM summaries) to surface likely root causes and point to relevant changes.

The result is faster feedback, fewer blocked merges, and better trust in automation.
