Engaging in Quality Conversation

I recently had the opportunity to record a Call for Insights with Simon Tomes.

We had an excellent conversation talking about how we as individuals (and as a team) can find ourselves in a situation where we need to adapt to changes to a team we are working in (perhaps people leave the organisation/team or the structure of the team changes). During the call we put forward a number or ideas and strategies we can develop to meet the challenge and manage that change. I chose this topic as I'd had recent experience of significant team changes and felt that in more unsteady time with the increased use of AI and the way teams are structured there could be some useful learnings and ideas I could share. 

This was a bit of personal challenge and new experience for me, as I have always struggled a bit with putting myself forward to speak in public and share my thoughts and ideas in these kinds of formats.  I really enjoyed the experience and was so pleased I decided to "Go for it" and put myself forward.

For anyone out there unsure about putting themselves forward to do something similar I would urge you to give it a try and see how you get on.  Simon was super supportive and helpful both before and during the recording.  Always listening carefully to what I was saying, but then also coming back with his ideas, thoughts and suggestions and helping to steer the conversation. 

These recorded conversations are such a good format to encourage more folks to talk about quality, development and community whether that is with Simon, Rosie or others in the wider MoT team and MoTaverse.

As we said on the call we definitely hope to do some further calls on different topics soon. Going forward I'd also like to explore doing more of this with others as well and in different formats.
