Lead Chapters in the MoTaverse

Being a professional member in the MoTaverse gave me the opportunity to become Chapter Lead for MoT Berlin and find my voice in the community.
While it is a lot of work to organize Chapter events, it is also a lot of fun. I get to meet new people in the software quality scene in Berlin and watch them building their dreams from scratch, along with learning from and working together with some well-known names in quality.
At work, it has given me the sense of visibility that we testers often lack: co-workers now approach me with questions about quality and ask me for advice regularly. I gained confidence off and on stage, which will help me in becoming a public speaker on the topics I really care about. But what means the most is knowing I'm giving back to the community that has given me so much.

Leadership doesn't wait for permission. Sometimes it just needs a room and a reason.
