My blog therapy
14 Apr 2026
I'll admit last week I was quite low. I'd seen over the last few weeks examples of where AI was used by a handful of developers and product managers in a way I felt treated quality with contempt. All the chatter was about speed. It was as if the QA team shoved back to the end of the process, after we'd put so much effort into influencing earlier.
So I decided to blog it out, so I could drop the negativity, turn the corner and get back to the fight for better software. Here it is on the observatory Why Quality Engineers Matter in the AI Era.

I've seen so many posts on speed over quality on places like LI, it saddens me too. I believe thinking skills will win out in the end, as you cannot craft quality context-appropriate prompts without thinking about how to do that.
