I was overdue doing some sketch-noting and decided to go with a talk I'd seen but was keen to see again. At MoTaCon 2025 Barry Ehigiator delivered a fantastic talk called "Beyond the titles: leading change as an individual contributor".

My next role won't be a leadership one but this talk reminded me that I can still be a leader without the specific job title. Not only that but as he talked through how to successfully lead change, it made me understand why I've seen so many changes fail (mine and others). It also helped me understand where some of my more successful initiatives have succeeded, without me knowing about his transformational leadership model.
