Travelling first class to a first class festival week!

I’ve been looking forward to this week with the kind of excitement testers feel when someone confidently announces: “Don’t worry, this release is low‑risk.”  
In other words: pure adrenaline.

And now it’s finally happening. My journey kicks off on the train. Naturally, because even testers enjoy pretending we can control something in life, like our environmental footprint. Plus, trains are perfect for reflecting on deep questions such as:  Why does the WiFi always fail exactly when you need to upload a critical bug report?

Destination: lovely Brighton.  
Mission: surviving, scratch that, thriving among the brilliant, chaotic, wonderfully unhinged minds of the Ministry of Testing community.  
These are the people who say “We love testing!” while quietly wondering why every system breaks on a Friday afternoon.

I’m ready for a couple of days filled with learning, laughter, mild existential dread, and the unstoppable positive energy that keeps us going even when the build fails for the fourth time in a row.

Brighton, brace yourself.
