As a quality enthusiast, I believe that people should take pride in their work and companies should aim to produce high-quality products. I have spent the last 23 years in IT, focusing on engineering, management and mentorship. I am also a huge animal lover and have saved and raised more than 50 cats and dogs.

Epistemic integrity means staying honest about how we know what we know. It means making sure our beliefs and decisions are based on solid evidence, clear reasoning, and a willingness to question assumptions.

For example:

A tester shows epistemic integrity when they question whether a feature meets a real user need, even if the whole team is confident, and take time to look for evidence before trusting the assumption.

A doctor shows epistemic integrity when they question a diagnosis that does not quite fit, even if it came from a senior colleague, and take time to double-check the test results.

A journalist shows epistemic integrity when they pause before repeating a story everyone else is reporting and take time to verify the original source.
