Trust Currency

Trust Currency image
The informal social credit built up between a tester and other teams or departments through consistent helpfulness, transparency, and reliable communication. When a tester invests in relationships across the organisation, particularly with teams like customer support, sales, or operations, those relationships become a resource that can be drawn on when testing needs change: getting early access to requirements, recruiting internal beta testers, or receiving faster responses to bug reports. Trust currency is earned gradually and spent carefully.

For example: a QA engineer who regularly helps the support team understand known issues finding that the same team proactively flags strange user behaviour they spot before it becomes a formal bug report; or a tester who shares clear, jargon-free summaries of test coverage earning greater influence in release go/no-go decisions.
