Talk Description

This was from the Brighton TestActually Meetup in September.

Automated testing of user interfaces can be difficult. Setting up correct state is hard, tests run slowly and fail apparently randomly. We'll look at how patterns like Page Objects and techniques like Mocking can help us on the path to testing redemption.

Presented by Rich is a JavaScript developer at Crunch Accounting. He's been writing and maintaining Selenium tests of various levels of terribleness for the last four years. Despite this he believes that UI tests are our best line of defence against the dark forces of buggy software.
