What are the MoT Chapters?
MoT Chapters are regular free events run in collaboration with local partners.
Community is at the heart of everything we do in the MoTaverse. As part of our existence is our commitment to supporting locally run Chapters.
Connecting in real life can be life changing. It’s better for the planet than travelling long distances. And it helps you and software testers build a real supportive network.
What does it mean to be a Chapter Organiser?
MoT Chapters are volunteer-led.
They require committed hosts to run them on a regular basis, research venues, find speakers, and partner up with local businesses to cover costs or provide space.
How do I know if my city already has a local chapter?
We have a page with a list of all existing Ministry of Testing chapters.
Don’t be disappointed if a chapter already exists, why not reach out to the organisers and offer your help? MoT Chapter organisers are always looking for help and new friends!
How do I know if hosting is right for me?
Running chapters can be very rewarding, personally and professionally, but it comes with commitment.
It’s important you ask yourself the right questions:
- Are you excited and passionate about all things tech, software testing and quality engineering?
- Do you want to help contribute to the advancement of our industry?
- Do you aspire to hold a fun, creative, professional and safe space for others in the community?
- Do you love shining light on others?
- Do you believe your city needs an MoT Chapter?
