TL;DR: We've just published the outline for our next MoT Certification: Software Quality Engineering Certificate (SQEC). For the past few months we've been doing deep research into all things Quality Engineering. This has meant exploring things like continuous quality, systems thinking, quality coaching and the varying models that are used by practicing and leading experts.
So what? With 80% of quality and testing professionals identifying as “quality engineers” it's clear there is a real shift in how we think and approach building quality products. Testing will always exist, but the full challenges to build quality are better addressed with a Quality Engineering mindset.
Why bother? With MoT's Software Testing Essentials Certification (STEC) we created a community-led model for creating relevant, engaging and educational certifications. It has the the balance of community soul, expert insight and educational pedagogy. We're excited to keep adopting this model—the feedback has been so positive and we believe it simply works.
