Discovering the MoTaverse: 10 steps to get started

Create Memory
The image shows a "10 Steps to Get Started" guide for something called "The MoTaverse." The guide consists of ten numbered screenshots of a website or application, displayed in two rows of five. Below these screenshots are two cartoon-like characters, one asking "Where next?" and the other responding "Let's go!".

One thing Rosie and I often acknowledge yet sometimes forget is that the MoTaverse moves fast.

We’re always shipping new features and running new initiatives. So it’s hard to keep up!

This memory is here to help. Follow these 10 steps to discover more of the MoTaverse without feeling overwhelmed. Each step includes a stretch step if you feel like doing more.

1. Visit the Ministry of Testing homepage. Scroll the page and see what piques your interest. Stretch step: Set the homepage as your browser homepage.

2. Visit the Memories page and see what folks are sharing. Like a post and leave a comment. Stretch step: Post a memory.

3. Read and like something on The Club (our online forum) https://club.ministryoftesting.com. Stretch step: Reply to a post or start a new topic.

4. See what people are open to and follow their profiles. Stretch step: Visit My MoT to mark items you are open to.

5. Join some Slack channels and read what folks are sharing. Stretch step: Start a conversation about a topic of interest.

6. Listen to a This Week in Testing (TWiT) episode recording. Stretch step: Message one of the people who appeared on stage to say hi and thanks.

7. Join a live TWiT episode and just listen in. Stretch step: Share something in the chat or join the stage.

8. Watch a Leading With Quality conversation. Stretch step: Put yourself forward for recording one with Rosie (she's super welcoming and always up for a chat!).

9. See who is earning community stars. View their profiles and see what they’ve earned a community star for. Follow the profiles. Stretch step: With a professional membership, award a star to someone.

10. Read a recent article and like it. Stretch step: Share an idea for an article and have your words published on the Ministry of Testing homepage. Remember step 1? 😉

There's so much more to discover and get involved in, and as you go through these steps, you might find even more. And I guarantee you'll find plenty of bugs!

Enjoy!
