My Week In Testing

I took my girl to the park on Friday evening after a long and busy week at MoT HQ. She was showing off her climbing skills, as she does, a seagull flew past as I caught up on This Week in Testing on Spotify. I walked in circles to get my step count up.
Was it Space Seagull? Maybe, I thought. I tried snapping a photo.
If I could get a good shot, I could post it for fun on MoT. That would make a nice memory, but what would I say?
Oh, maybe, I could call it My Week in Testing and turn it into a weekly habit. Maybe others will join in too.
So here is a look at my week in testing:
☎️ I've been having lots of calls. For sponsorships. New partnerships. MoT Team accounts. New meetups. Contributor calls. I've previously dreaded this, but now with a much clearer vision and the team making good progress on the "MoTaverse as a platform", I'm feeling rather good about it all.
📆 We have a new MoT Meetup starting soon. That will make 53 of them. I now have initial calls with all potential meetup organisers. Honestly, it's overwhelming managing and supporting them, in the most positive way. Sometimes I only realise on the day that there are multiple meetups happening. It's a lot to keep up with. Alexandra does a great job of keeping on top of all the operational work around this.
📓 I had the creation of a Learning Outcomes and MoTebook on my todo list for weeks, I finally got it done this week. Alexandra worked her magic to share it across the MoTaverse.
🪐 I've been doing more Observatory rounds, the curation of content to add to our /observatory section. Check it out if you haven't already. Professional members can add links too. It's feeling pretty good that we can feature links on our homepage too, which we are doing selectively.
📸 I've also been playing with and pushing the boundaries of Memories, just like this post. Previously we focused on photos, but now we're encouraging more micro-blogging type content, a photo/image is still required. As part of this I've personally been challenging people to post things. LMK what you think!
⭐️ Simon Tomes and Andrew Morton have been giving our Star System lots of attention. It's starting to feel really special and I look forward to what it ends up becoming. The TLDR of it is that contributions to the MoTaverse earn you stars, which get counted and can also lead to a MoT Community Certificate. There are many things that can lead to getting a star. Posting a memory, or being tagged in one is one such example.
That was my week in testing! How about posting how yours was and tag it with my-week-in-testing?
