The wonderful Sarah Kitchener and I were discussing how we can continue to encourage folks to make the most our of their MoTaverse professional membership. We acknowledged that time is indeed precious, of course it is. We've got deadlines at work and a gazillion things to sort in our home life. How can we make time to participate in the MoTaverse? We love to see that there are plenty of folks who do make time and get real joy and value from doing so.
I'm guilty of doomscrolling, where I think I'll just spend a few minutes looking at the news. Ten or so minutes later. Yikes, that's time wasted! I'm sure I could've been doing something more interesting with my time.
So what's the opposite? Joyscrolling!
And then it dawned on us that the MoTaverse is a form of joyscrolling.

- Do you MoTafirst instead of reading the news or doomscrolling on social media?
- Do you head to the MoTaverse homepage to find something interesting for five minutes?
- Do you accidentally fall down a joyful knowledge-making rabbit hole?
I might be bias, of course I am, yet I think MoTafirst is an excellent use of time.

I've never thought about it like this before, but there is nothing negative scrolling through the MoTaverse. So joyscrolling is definitely a thing! 😁
