I'm reviewing Barry Ehigiator's SQEC Module 9 Lesson 2: How does Quality Engineering impact the team?
He shares the following:
He shares the following:
Quality leaders and practitioners who embrace the broader view of QE discussed in this lesson will recognise that QE is not simply about testing better or changing titles. It is about helping teams deliver value more reliably and sustainably to the people whom their product is meant to serve. Ultimately, Quality Engineering as a framework helps teams move from a reactive mindset, reacting to problems, to a proactive mindset, designing systems that prevent problems. To this end, QE, when effectively practised, doesn't just improve software, it improves teams, the people that build the software and their delivery outcomes.
What an excellent way to frame things. Nice one, Barry. 🤩
Curious to know from folks reading this, what does delivering value more reliably and sustainably look like to you and your colleagues?

as with many other elements: build in smaller batches, built frequently and align often.
Especially when dealing with other people, but it also goes for LLM output etc.
Align up front. When I prepare large formal documents then I strive to align up front and while doing the authoring. That makes the final approval trivial. ;)
Similar to the Japanese concept Nemawashi comes up to explain it.

Nice one, Jesper. Thanks for sharing.
I do love Nemawashi, a super handy technique. This has been my go to reference, where I first learnt about it: https://www.behance.net/blog/the-lean-meeting-how-to-keep-your-meetings-short-and-highly-productive
