My 2026 goals

I started 2025 in a bad place, I felt like I was getting punched from all different life angles.

I'm happy to say I'm finishing it in a very positive way.

For 2026 my goals are to establish the MoTaverse as a member driven organisation.

I see members as:
- quality and testing people
- quality and testing organisations (products, consultancies, recruiters, etc)
- technology focused businesses

We are here to support them and our goal is to elevate them all, sustainably.

We have a new membership model, which I absolutley love, but it also comes with risk. Most people are used to buying things individually, but we've bundled things up. It will take continued effort to get people to see and adopt this.

We hope to continue to sign up individuals and teams on both standard and unlimited membership. The unlimited membership is really what will move the needle for us, we've signed up some teams on Unlimited membership and continue to hope to make progress on that front.

Alongside that, our platform continues to evolve, we plan to migrate meetups over in the not too distant future, and we'll continue to explore and innovate when it comes to all things knowledge, learning and making sense of our own community algortihm. I'm excited about doing things differently. Like, super super excited.

From a personal perspective, I hope to keep my anxiety at bay. It's been a tough couple of years, but right now I've never felt so good. A big part of feeling better has been changing the business to be something that I hope and feel is fit and valuable for the future.

I've completely lost any public speaking fear and I've loved having 1:1 conversations in the form of Leading With Quality conversations. I plan to do more of that, reach out if a video/podcast is of interest. Or invite me to speak. :)

From another personal angle, I lost weight in 2025 and as I get closer to the big 50, I feel this and fitness is something I need to ensure I optimse. I've been strength training for a while, almost 6 years, but now I feel like I need to get back into running, hopefully I will keep that habit going. Also, yoga, because my hips are feeling it. ๐Ÿง˜

I've been working in the software testing and quality engineering space since the year 2000 whilst also combining it with my love for education and community. It turns out quality, community and education go nicely hand in hand.
