Progress over time

In this moment:
Louise Woodhams
Thought I'd riff on Louise's post about progress over perfection.
One thing I like to do is look at the person I was 1, 2, 5 or 10 years ago.
Often this is literally thinking back and remembering. Other times it's look at photos, things I've written on work I've produced.
And yes, sometimes I look at the web archive of the MoTaverse to remind myself of how far we come.
Other times it pops up when people say 'do you remember when?'
I do this to remind myself of the progress over time.
I always talk myself down, thinking we've not done enough. That I should be better, or further, or whatever.
Yet, when I take snapshots at historical timestamps, it almost always makes me feel better and see how the people around me and I have progressed.
📸 The photo is me, about 20 years ago at a Girl Geek Dinner meetup I use to run. It was my first dip into community organising, and I'm still going!
