New Year, New 99 Minute Challenges

Many of us feel empowered to make changes and try out new things in January. And at Ministry of Testing, we’re no different. We’re launching new 99 Minute Challenges! These live, interactive online challenges will help you improve and hone your testing skills and support you in achieving your goals. No more over-ambitious targets or New Year’s resolutions that are never started. Oh no, you can pick and choose challenges of interest and tackle them live with the support of an expert facilitator and community members taking part.

What Are 99 Minute Challenges?

In a nutshell, they are online, live challenges set by an expert facilitator. These challenges aim to help you develop testing skills that will benefit your day-to-day life.

Benefits of 99 Minute Challenges

We’ve thought hard about how to bring the most value to learners taking part in these challenges. And whilst our challenges will cover a range of topics and skills, there will be common features in all 99 Minute Challenges that we believe will be beneficial to those that take part. Including:

  • Authentic Learning - Our challenges will emulate real-world scenarios as much as possible. This means the skills and attitudes you develop will be transferable and useful to you in your day-to-day life.

  • Active Learning - You’re going to have to do stuff! These challenges are learner-led. There will be an expert facilitator to guide you on your journey, however, you’ll be actively applying your own know-how to tackle the challenges. This will help you develop your testing skills and self-directed learning habits through practice and reflection.

  • Short and Structured - Each challenge is 99 minutes long or less which means they can easily fit into your busy week. They're also highly structured to ensure you can improve and hone your skills in that timeframe.

  • Learn with others - Each challenge will be run live and online with up to 100 other fellow testers from around the world. You’ll be able to network and learn with other professionals to understand different perspectives that’ll help you broaden your own understanding.

  • Part of Pro - Already a Professional member of Ministry of Testing? Hooray for you! You get to undertake these challenges as part of your pro package at no extra cost. If you’re not a pro member yet, we’ve made it easy to upgrade by adding monthly subscriptions, why not sign up now?
