Have you noticed that we've been shifting? To stay relevant, we all have to evolve and adapt. That's definitely something we are doing over here in the MoTaverse. As part of this, we have been talking to testers. Lots of them. We've been taking a research driven approach to the work we commit to doing.
The research has meant a lot of listening, from all the places.Â
As part of this, the need for quality leadership kept coming up time and time again. There were a whole variety of reasons for this.Â
- Sometimes it was career-related — where is my career heading?
- Sometimes it was industry related — what the heck is going on in our industry?
- Other times it was feeling lost and lacking relatable stories — where are the stories how others are approaching shipping quality products?
- Often it's, where do I find other quality leaders?
So, within the MoTaverse we've committed ourselves to explore, dive deep and expand how we can lead with quality.
Community as education.
As part of our culture, we want to make it very clear that when done well, with care and with intention, community is the best kind of education out there. This doesn't mean no effort goes into it, if anything, the opposite is true. The heart, mind and souls of so many people go into sharing everything they know, for the benefit of others.
Community is required to get to the nuances of what really matters. Every conversation, piece of knowledge and resources will be shared in whichever format feels best.
Community as education is our thing. It can show up as events, as courses, as conversations, as research…and so much more. The key point is that community is always at the heart of everything we do.
In 2025 we're committed to building a leading with quality community space in three ways:
- Leading with quality: connect in real life and make friends for life in Brighton on 30th of September, right before TestBash
- A private channel in our Slack only for Leaders in Quality: a place to connect and seek support. (available for Professional Members)
- Leading with quality conversations: an opportunity to learn from how others are leading with quality (coming soon for Professional Members)
