Don’t let dependencies delay your testing
Testing shouldn’t wait for 3rd-party systems to be ready. With service virtualization, you can simulate missing services and test integrations, performance, and functionality without delays. Get the coverage you need – no bottlenecks, no blockers. Stop waiting. Start testing.

What's been happening in the testing, QA and quality engineering MoTaverse? Allons-y!

— Simon Tomes, Community Lead at Ministry of Testing

Community

Watching testers test is a joyful experience. Last week Ben Dowen, Jane D'Cruze and the MoTaverse did just that during a Software Testing Live on accessibility. Plus, Ben, Marie Cruz and Lena Nyström have done the same during Module 10 of the Software Testing Essentials Certificate (STEC). All are available soon and exclusive to Ministry of Testing! 👀

Have loved being part of some of these. If you haven't already seen them they are definitely worth a watch.

What does the community think about automation, AI, continuous quality, quality engineering, systems thinking and more? Unique teams of reporters dive deep into community poll results and commentary. Discover important industry trends. New collection: The Testing Planet News.

There's a first time for everything. What a brilliant bunch of people stepping up to the TestBash stage for the first time. 🥇

New meetups galore: Munich, Ghana and Coventry. And bug congrats, Mariem Safi, sharing her co-organiser role for MoT Tunis. 🇩🇪 🇬🇭 🇬🇧 🇹🇳

"So I stepped away from software development for a few years, until last year, when I thought “But wait! I really enjoyed testing! What about beginning a QA career?” And here I am! I just completed my software QA diploma course (waiting for the certification now, wish me luck! 🤞) and I can’t wait to find my first QA job!" Say hi to Amandine. It was also great to hear from Amandine during last week's This Week in Testing. 🎧

An update from Alexandra Cella: Where have all the junior quality roles gone? Host Simon Tomes and Demi Van Malcot were joined by Mariem Safi, Amandine Douguedroit, Maneesh Maddala, Emily O'Connor, and MoT founder/CEO Rosie Sherry during last week's This Week in Testing.

Poll of the Week

The image displays a survey question presented on a digital interface, likely a mobile device or tablet, with a warm, gradient background of orange and peach tones. A small, stylised bug character is visible in the bottom left corner. The central element is the question: "When building with AI, data strategy is a core part of our quality engineering strategy." Beneath the question are four response options presented as buttons: Agree Somewhat agree Somewhat disagree Disagree
