MoTaCon is coming, have you got your ticket yet?
Well done for having the courage of going for it and applying to the QA Manager role. Great to hear your company supports you in such a transition.
Thanks for the notes - I enjoyed the roundtable and bouncing around experience and thoughts. Lots to digest here.
Thank you! Very thought provoking call for insights. Given me some inspiration to do some further research.
I very much like the image depicting the lean testing maturity curve. That would be very useful to share with team members/stakeholders to educate what a transition could look like.
Nice, I look forward to this one :-)
I like that. You are more talented than AI and to trust yourself.
Also SO much good stuff in here like "write it first, then shape it".
I have once observed someone using a LLM instead of collaborating with a colleague. It can change the way team members interact, so need to have company policies on usage in my view.
(totally get your comment, louise, of being spread too thin at times with being a lead. I've found being pragmatic and choosing the items to focus on works well. Not looking for perfection but progress day by day on the right things)
Hiya! What a great topic of conversation. An idea I would put forward is to talk about business risk - I've found if you frame the problem in the right way then it can help advocate for whatever you're after - that might be more time, exploring a quality criteria or something else entirely.
Also good things to do are communities of practice, knowledge share sessions and more to spread the good word of what's going on. ALso fun things like "quality newsletter" to share what's been going on.
My thoughts go to the cognitive load of influencing change or advocating say for a particular quality attribute. It can be energy draining, however, educating others or having a quality culture where it's everyone's responsibility helps massively for it to be a shared responsibility.
Thanks for a great article. Thought provoking!
I agree, very good names!
You'll rock the stage. Congrats!
