Welcome to First request to test suite: 30 days to API testing confidence a brand new educational podcast that will help kickstart your API testing skills. Curated and presented by Mark Winteringham, author of Testing Web APIs, each episode guides you through different elements of HTTP, API test tooling and test design to turn you into an API testing pro.
Across 30 short sessions, you’ll explore the essentials of Web APIs, practise making and analysing requests, and experiment with creating, updating, and deleting data. You’ll also get experience working with tools like Postman, organising your work into collections, and adding simple automation.
The format is simple: each session builds on the last, with a short ten-minute activity that helps you apply what you’ve just learned. You’ll be encouraged to research, try things out, and make your own testing decisions. It’s hands-on, practical, and designed to grow your skills step by step. By the end, you’ll have the confidence and knowledge to take your API testing even further.
