My 2026 Goals: Coming back stronger

Jan 12, 2026

Create Memory
White male with shiny face dressed in black stood on the stage at TestBash UK 2023.
In this memory: Richard Adams

After a year that mixed highs and lows, ending with me looking for work, I have three key goals to help me come back stronger.

1. Getting certified: I've started STEC and signed up for SQEC plus hope to complete more MoT courses as well as TryHackMe paths.
2. Getting back in the workplace: I'm open to a range of opportunities, from development through to quality leadership and even back to roots as a tester (STEC has made me excited at the prospect of hands on testing again!).
3. Getting back on stage: In 2022 and 2023 I spoke at a handful of events from conferences to meetups, which I've absolutely loved. This year I really want to get back to that, whether that is either contributing to a conference/meet up or getting selected with a pitch for 2027. Hopefully with a less shiny head than TestBash UK 2023!
