Do not expect to learn fast. Find joy in the process

It feels like everyone around you is learning something: taking courses, building pet projects, earning yet another certificate. LinkedIn starts to feel like a branch of Instagram, where we see a constant flow of other people that share what theyโve already learned.
After a while, you start pushing yourself too hard. Either โWhy arenโt you learning anything when everyone around you is?!โ or โWhy are you learning so little, so slowly? Other people already know how to use X successfully!โ
Let me remind you:
๐ everyone starts learning a skill with their own set of foundational knowledge and abilities, so ...
๐ every person is unique and learns at their own pace, but ...
๐ not everyone needs to be learning, let alone learning everything at once ๐
And most importantly!
It's not possible to master and lock in a skill with a couple of hours of YouTube videos or a few articles. Even if you run 10 AI agents in parallel, you wonโt learn any faster.ย
Learning is about changing your own brain and forming new neural connections.
You have to learn to value the small bits of progress.
You have to learn to value the process itself.
Then, you will get joy from learning.
