It was a nice experiment to organise London Chapter gathering differently

This month we did something differently. Instead of hosting London chapter at host company, we gathered in a pub. As you see from the photo, there were not many people, but this is a case of quality over quantity.

I personally was very happy to meet new people. We spoke with Sarah about their work challenges. Interegtingly, we share similar set up where we work in fintech space and with clients on the other end. How do we make sure our code works on their environments? was the shared question.

I met Alex and we talked about AI. We talked about AI anyway. By the way, Alex got his new job thankfully to last London chapter gathering. Congrats Alex and have a great start at new job.

I met another Alex and suddenly we figured we were both from Ukraine. We didn't talk much in Ukrainian, but it was interesting to hear about his newspaper project and how digital newspapers are still in demand amongst some generations. I also learned from him a few interesting tricks for mobile testing.

It was good to see Richard and Simon who are now good MoTaverse friends.

It was a great evening where we had a chance to talk to everyone and had quality time. Maybe we should do pub gathering more often to connect differently.

And yes, I think I said to Petros Plakogiannis we should get together when he is in London in July. Now we also have another reason to do it.

Thanks for organising and bringing us all together in such a cool venue.

The simple act of gathering to converse is so underrated. This is a great reminder for me to do this again in Brighton.
