With Test.bash(); happening at the end of October, we thought it about time to finalise the line up!
👀 First let's take a look at our Test.bash(); speaker line up and what topics they'll cover:
- Kylee Tilley "Transcending The Tools" - This talk will cover how to stay up to date on the latest tools, understanding the problems your tools are trying to solve versus investing in individual tools, build versus buy when considering tools and that old tools are still the best tools sometimes.
- Louise Gibbs "Testing the Tests - Mutation Testing for UI Automation" - Louise will be discussing various methods for testing UI Automated tests. The aim of these tests are to reduce the risk of false positives, test flakiness and wasted time in test runs.
- Jaswanth Manigundan "Building and Implementing an API Test Solution Strategy Across a Scaling Organisation - A Journey!" - Jaswanth will speak about his journey in drafting an automation test strategy specifically meant for APIs and would also talk about the tools that we chose to help us thrive.
- Guru Kiran "Visual Automation Testing" - Understand when and why you should create automated visual testing and which test level do you run a visual test on.
- Nick Relkov "Test Data Generation in Postman" - Test Data Generation has always been a thorn in the side of Testing. Nick found that even though Postman does not support being used as a Test Data Generator, it is most definitely built in a way that it can support it, with a bit of creativity.
On top of these excellent talks, you can expect a Discussion Panel with Ibironke Yekinni, Sujith Sukumaran and Sarah Hutchins. Giving you the opportunity to drive the discussion, asking all your questions about Managing Your Testing Toolbox. We also have an Ask Me Anything: All Things Testing Tools with Sonali Das. Both are great opportunities to find resolutions to your problems, or maybe spark ideas around tools you need to investigate more!
What else? I hear you ask. We have multiple tool demos happening with both members of the community and sponsors tackling the 4 challenges, some fun activities - "The Wheel of Tools" and "Tool Karaoke" - maybe you can guess what's involved? If not we'll share more details soon. Plus we've lined up some brilliant sponsors running fun events at their community spaces - including a few games you could possibly win prizes for....my lips are sealed for now.
We will of course end with our famous 99 Second Talks - we cannot wait to hear what you've learnt, from tools that make your life better to methodologies that have changed how you think. We want to know.
