Introducing TestBash Home, our first online software testing conference. The inaugural TestBash Home will debut on the 30th of April 2020 and run for a full 24 hours into the 1st of May 2020.Â
Yep, you read that right, a full 24 hours, we’ll be travelling all timezones so that everyone in our truly global testing community can get involved.Â
These hours are going to be packed full of interactive sessions including talks, panels, challenges, plus we’ll relive and reflect on some classic TestBash talks.
Why We’re Taking TestBash Online
As you’re aware, the coronavirus epidemic has impacted all aspects of our lives and put â…“ of the global population on lockdown. While lockdown and other social distancing measures are tough on all of us, it’s the right thing to flatten the COVID-19 curve and save lives.Â
However, this crisis has left many of us feeling isolated and missing human connections and resulted in many businesses facing financial difficulties. This includes us here at MoT, after deciding to cancel or postpone our upcoming events for the next 6 months, we’ve been wondering what the future will look like and how best we can connect the community.Â
The answer is obvious and that is to move TestBash online. We’ve had this idea for years but there is nothing like the current situation to make that happen right now. And, in true MoT style, we have gone big on being experimental and creative. As always, we have collaborated with members of the testing community and have designed something that we believe will bring value and togetherness to everyone. That something is TestBash Home.Â

I want to thank you all for showing me, and Team MoT, how strong and supportive our community is when I had to share the difficult news about canceling upcoming TestBash events. During these unsettling times, I feel togetherness is key. Community is at the heart of everything we do and, in turn, we have been a strong pillar for the testing community. To get through these tough times together, we are determined to bring positivity and opportunity to our community around the world. Over the years we have invested a lot in our tech with a view to moving more of what we do online. Everything we have built has brought us to now. I believe TestBash Home will provide us with the chance to connect, to support each other and continue to improve the software testing craft.

What’s the Plan?
TestBash Home will start at 8:00 pm UK Time on the 30th of April as a 24 hour rolling Software Testing Conference. Allowing you to attend live when best suits you, or, if you don’t like sleep, try doing the full 24 hours straight! But don’t worry, no matter how long you decide to tune in for, you won’t miss a thing! All the content from the event will be recorded and made available to you on The Dojo.
To run this mega event, we are collaborating with several of our TestBash hosts from around the world, who will take it in turns to bring TestBash Home to you. It won’t be your average online conference, it will be jam-packed with current software testing talks, as well as a modern look at a few of our most popular TestBash talks. On top of the talks, there will be discussion panels with testing experts, practical tool demonstrations and live coaching sessions.
The initial lineup has been launched, but there are more to come! So make sure you watch this space!
We’ve also designed TestBash Home to be as interactive and community focussed as the real deal, giving you opportunities to ask speakers and panel guests questions, get involved in community discussions, take part in testing challenges and it’s not a TestBash without our famous 99-second talks!

A ticket base price is £49, however, we’ve enabled a "pay what you can" pricing to allow you to pay more if you think it’s worth more and want to support MoT.
