The MoTaverse has always been a place to gather. Events, conferences, learning, community. And now we have Roundtables.
What keeps coming up is a need to talk. Not in a broad, planned-months-ahead kind of way. But with intention, in small groups, with a bit of moderational care, about the real challenges people are facing right now.
Here's how Roundtables work.
A community member proposes a topic. Something top of mind. A challenge they may have right now. Something the person needs to talk about. We pull a small group together, keep it focused, and publish the recording within 24 hours. Insights created by team MoTaverse follows.
This came from an experiment. We planned the first one a week before it happened, because we spotted a need (a discussion in the Slack). That is the point. Roundtables are not scheduled months in advance. They respond to what our Professional Members actually need, when they need it.
The first one explored quality with templates and charters. The recording is here, and three Insights articles came out of it:
- The standardisation shivers
- Test charters and templates: Same objectives, better tools
- Everything is scattered. Nothing is structured.
We currently have one in the pipeline: Roundtable: AI Learnings and Demos, come along if you're AI curious.
Want to help make one happen?
- Propose a topic and a time in #23_roundtables (Slack), and check the events calendar to avoid clashes
- If you propose it, we expect you to show up
- Team MoT will help fill the room
- At least 3 people on video or audio is required to get it going
- Others can listen in and join the chat
- Recording is published within 24 hours
- Insights to follow shortly after, crafted by Team MoTaverse
Professional Membership is required to attend and access recordings and Insights. This is community as a service in action.
