As they say, there's nothing new under the sun. I admit though, I'm ignorant on what is the big takeaway here? I'm not yet a practitioner of context engineering, so maybe that's why I don't see it.
Seems like a pragmatic way to go! I keep reading about comprehension debt, brain fry, other results of people going all in on AI without thinking how they will manage their work. Step by step seems smart.
I joined the chapter last week, and looked at the page earlier this week, but i didn't know about this meeting. How can I be notified of these events, please?
I opened that mind map image in a new tab to zoom in on it, good stuff. This helps me because I've been struggling with the terminology. I'm more of an observer of GenAI usage than an actual user right now. Is "augmentation" the same as "AI Assistance"? Thanks!
This startled me until I remembered today's date. 😂
Wouldn't it be great if a more diverse group, or even better, a larger community, could reboot the Manifesto. I think the principles still work, but the manifesto itself needs discussion IMO.
I love this so much! Thank you for including those resources as well. Whenever I've started a new job, I reached out to people on my team and in other teams to schedule 1:1s, and some of those continued on a regular basis. So helpful. Thanks for the reminder about being inclusive of neurodivergent people. I find it easy to forget, despite my good intentions.
That is WILD
Thank you for this comprehensive and valuable guidance! IMO it aligns well with what DORA has found in their extensive research on the impact of AI assistance in software development. Also congruent with DORA's AI capabilities model - https://cloud.google.com/resources/content/2025-dora-ai-capabilities-model-report
Viv! This is such a practical and useful article. I'm sorry to hear you went through some bad times. I do miss SwanseaCon, it was so awesome. And I'm so glad you feel connected again. We need you in our community! Thank you!
