Alan has been improving software quality since 1993 and currently leads an organization that includes software infrastructure, tools, documentation, and quality coaching. Previous to Unity, Alan spent 22 years at Microsoft working on projects spanning the company – including a two-year position as Microsoft’s Director of Test Excellence. Alan was the lead author of the book “How We Test Software at Microsoft”, contributed chapters for “Beautiful Testing”, and “Experiences of Test Automation: Case Studies of Software Test Automation”. His latest ebook (which may or may not be updated soon) is a collection of essays on test automation called “The A Word: Under the Covers of Test Automation”, and is available on leanpub .
Wojciech Bulaty is writing on behalf of WB Software Consultancy Limited. Wojciech has more than 10 years of hands-on and leadership experience in software development and testing. Software Engineer In Test

Based in Auckland, New Zealand, Bede is a Senior Test Engineer, working for Medic Mobile, a San Francisco-based nonprofit organisation that builds software for health workers and health systems. He has a number of years in Software Testing, working on Enterprise Desktop, Web and Mobile Applications. Bede is also the founder and organiser of the Automated Testing Auckland Meetup and speaks at conferences.

He will share his experiences testing IOT systems and discuss associated challenges and security vulnerabilities.

Neil Studd is a UK-based tester with over 15 years' experience of leading quality initiatives within agile startups and large enterprise organisations. He is the creator of the Testers' Island Discs podcast which is available on the MoT website, and co-hosts the Tech Team Weekly and Screen Testing podcasts.

Jake Brower is a Quality Engineering Manager, Scrum Master, and Agile Facilitator with Credit Karma in San Francisco and has worked in software testing since 1994 where he started his career building/testing web sites for local nonprofits in Seattle. From there, he worked at various companies testing everything from AS400 mainframe systems to commercial web sites to desktop and mobile apps. He has been in San Francisco now for 15 years and in that time he's led many Quality/company-wide transformations that focus on pushing Quality further left, driving process engineering/adoption, and guiding testing teams to hone their intuition skills beyond the scripted test.

Jake's true passions lie in managing people and building world-class teams. Having been in management for about 10 years, he has acquired deep skills in hiring/managing/mentoring and has a great love of learning what makes people tick as well as their motivations for doing what they do every day. Jake's other passion is electronic music production and he has toured the world making live techno on stages big and small.

DevOps Engineer
Gene Gotimer is a DevSecOps Senior Engineer, focusing on agile processes, secure development practices, and automation. Gene feels strongly that repeatability, quality, and security are all strongly intertwined; each depends on the other two, making agile and DevSecOps that much more crucial to software development.
QA Analyst
James Sheasby Thomas is an an agile web and mobile tester for Inviqa, a major open source technology partner based in the UK and Germany. After starting his career in digital marketing and communications for a software company, he made the switch to the hectic world of digital agency testing in 2014 and has never looked back. James specialises in cross-browser/device testing and exploratory integration testing, and has a burning passion for usability, accessibility, tool-assisted testing and agile methodology (particularly Kanban). Since joining Inviqa he has worked closely with developers, PMs, AMs and clients to help facilitate a move towards Continuous Delivery and a truly collaborative QA process. Outside of the 9 to 5 he spends as much time as possible in the countryside, museums, cafes and local breweries.

Noah Sussman is an industrial scientist who studies how people and computers relate to each other. After a decade of developing eCommerce interactive experiences, Noah grew increasingly interested in approaches to scaling Web applications. In particular his approach to scaling CI systems has a history of repeated success.

He is also noted for designing innovative test architectures for The SAT Test, Etsy and Barnes & Noble. He works at Teachers Pay Teachers: the world's largest educational marketplace, where he continues to push the envelope on continuous deployment praxis and tools.

Since 1993, Damian Synadinos has been helping “build better software and build software better” through testing. In that time, he has used various methods and tools in numerous roles at many companies in diverse industries. He is an entrepreneur and currently owns Ineffable Solutions, a training and consulting company. Damian is also an international keynote speaker, presenter, and workshop facilitator, as well as a mentor and advisor. He is an improvisor, an actor, and a playwright; an artist, an inventor, and a philosopher. He is a son, a brother, a husband, and a dad. And he values and connects each of these things (and much more) to approach life and solve problems in interesting and innovative ways.
