I moticed something recently...

I moticed something recently...partly in myself, but also in the many quality conversations I've had with others.

This shift to quality engineering is MoTivating! People are re-inpsired, perhaps empowered and even have a new found energy in their quality (and testing work).

I've definitely questioned the direction of my career and more specifically in testing, but now with a focus on quality engineering it feels like the doors have opened. We can be curious and creativity, and most importantly doors are opening to create a career path that is more impactful and meaningful.

New ideas are rising up. New voices stepping in. And with that change will come.

Do others feel this too? Drop a comment.

Photo for fun and attention. I also like snails to remind me to go slow and steady. I'm not sure sure slow applies to me though, steady, yes!

I've been working in the software testing and quality engineering space since the year 2000 whilst also combining it with my love for education and community. It turns out quality, community and education go nicely hand in hand.

I feel it. One theme that pops up for me is "making the invisible visible". I don't have solid answers yet, but I'm willing to find out how far the rabbit hole or snail trail goes :D

I feel it too. I think this is the much needed push to the careers of many testers out there. Also, the damage AI may do will boost the demands for QE more and more... In fact, this is a core skill to have.

Definitely! Its given me the MoTivation not only to keep pushing quality engineering improvements outside of my QE Team as we can only achieve so much on our own. We have to bring everyone with us on the journey.

Chris Pratt
Definitely. The boundaries of where we can add value has shifted from 'Test Team' to pretty much the entire company. Whilst it's inspiring and daunting at the same time, it makes for a new and exciting challenge.

I feel it too! So many new areas to explore, so much more to learn, apply and share, ... And even though this comes with its own set of challenges, it's so exciting that I feel I can take it on.
