April RoundUp of All Things MoT

The first TestBash of the year is over and it was a roaring success, getting us ready for the year of useful, insightful and utterly brilliant TestBashes ahead.

The Club

A few selected discussions from The Club that we thought you might find interesting.

  • Testing tour 2019 posted by punkmik. Inspired by Lisi Hocke’s talk at TestBash Brighton 2019, Kim wants to go on her own testing tour starting in May and is looking for people to pair with.
  • Ask Me Anything: Whole Team Testing posted by heather_reid. This month we had an excellent Ask Me Anything with Lisa Crispin who continued answering all of the questions over on this epic Club thread!
  • Blogs from TestBash Brighton 2019 posted by nufenix. A growing collection of live blogs and post-event reflection blogs, plenty of food for thought.
  • What would you do? How can I automate this? posted by davgonca. A great thread helping someone quite new to automation with suggestions of approaches, questions to ask and resources to explore.
  • Missing Layer From The Test Automation Pyramid posted by friendlytester. An exploration of an addition to the automation pyramid, testability, what do you think testability brings to the traditional pyramid model?

The Club Ninja

Each month we select one of our Club users to be our Ninja of the Month.  Our Club Ninja this month is Lisa Crispin.

Join Hugh as he takes you through some lessons learnt, patterns and approaches that have personally been successful, and some observations on current trends in relation to abstractions and knowing your automation.
