Software Testing Essentials Certification (STEC), a true alternative to ISTQB image

At Ministry of Testing we are finally doing something about creating something educationally different.

For years, the testing community has debated about foundational education for software testers, with ISTQB often quoted as simultaneously the only thing on offer, while people are also dissatisfied with what it is. To be clear, we are not in the business of debating, nor putting down ISTQB. It is what it is. Competition is healthy.

We are here to say we’re creating a viable modern alternative. It’s been years in discussion. One year in the making. We’re about 3 months from completion.

And it’s beautiful.

STEC is Mac. Where ISTQB is PC. We can co-exist, but STEC is different.

Title: Software Testing Essentials Certification (STEC) is Here! Below is cartoon-like image showing a hug queue to a table with the sign STEC above and an empty table next to it with the sign ISTQB with no one queueing for it.

We believe testing and quality matters. STEC is built with those who believe that too. You will smile as you learn. You will meet people along the way. You will have the ability to build your network and tap into the mindhive of a global testing community.

STEC will give you confidence because of the practicing, value driven and diverse experts who share the knowledge and insights.

STEC will give you confidence because you will see yourself in their stories.

STEC will give you confidence because what is taught is modern, practical and relevant.

STEC will give you confidence because we are here for you 24/7/365 and for years to come.

It’s time to approach learning about testing differently.

It’s time to invest in your and the industry’s future with STEC from Ministry of Testing.
