Good to read this. I've spent the last ten years taking care of others, so I do knowingly neglect myself. Making this list is something I can do gradually, not to just pat myself on the back - but to help make me more self aware. That should help me move forward with a bit more clarity 🙏

Really enjoyed the session, thank you both so much. I was an automated tester many years ago using the commercial tools. A combination of moving into a management roles and automation tech moving on meant I kind of lost my confidence getting back into it. This has at least shed a light that with AI, I could get myself back in the automation game.

Totally agree. I build teams on soft skills first, role skills second treating each person as an individual, embracing the differences we have. Thats the core of where teams connect, help each other and thrive. One might almost say, communities are built on soft skills.

From knowing manual testing to learning automation, what have you learned that can be sone to bridge the gap between manual testing and automated testing being separate jobs done by separate people? If they are jobs done by separate people, what can those people do to help each other build a seamless process?

Well done Adam, thats fantastic news. Love the meme. I was so used to not being recognised for glue work in previous organisations that I was quite happy to get satisfaction from seeing that work bring the improvements I wanted to see...a silent party. So when I do get recognised for it now I have to turn my camera off as I can be seen cringing in the spotlight 😬
